why cant you just connect the kinnect straight to the front usb ports of the xbox360?
When I went to the microsoft store, they told me kinect wont work with my old xbox 360 arcade. You say it does? what extra stuff would I need to buy apart from the kinect sensor to make it work?
You don't need to do anything, the MS rep lied to you. Kinect works on ALL 360s. On non Slim models you need to use the ac adapter and the usb extension to make them work, and both come with kinect so there is nothing extra you need to buy. If you have a 360 Slim, then you don't need the ac or usb adapter, since the usb hub in the back of the 360 slim is able to provide enough power to the kinect device without needing help.
DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE WIFI TO CONNECT IT? I HAVE THE FIRST XBOX 360 THAT CAME OUT I NEVER USED WIFI WILL I HAVE TO BUY A ADAPTER FOR IT?
Hi this may be late in answering your question RE: WiFi needed for the KINECT to work . Well the answer is NO its not needed and all you need to do is plug & play basicly. Hope that helps out.
Can any one let me know if you can connect a XBOX Kinect to a Laptop and do things like surf the net or point & click instead of using a mouse /Trackpad etc & if so how do you do it ? Thankyou in advance for any info thankyou.
Hi, does the green light for the kinect adapter have to turn green to work?. My xbox is the older one with only 1 USB port in the back, my sensor turns green then red but my xbox says insufficient power though.
