How to Prepare a USB flash drive for your Xbox 360 memory unit

Have you ever wondered how to prepare a USB drive to flash an Xbox 360? Here is the how-to -video on how to create an USB drive for flashing your Xbox 360 benq drive. To make a bootable flash drive and to prepare it to flash XBox benq drive you have to download the "Xbox benq flashing files for USB" folder from the below mentioned link.http://www.MegaShare.com/1721713 1) Using either WinZip, winrar or any other archive file retrieving software extract the contents to a folder in a location on you system. Preferably you may unzip the contents on your desktop. Open the folder. Now you will be find the following files and folders, a folder named "Windows 98 Boot File", "DosFlash16", and "Xbox benq Flashing files for USB". Apart from the folders you will also find a file with name "ix161". This is the Xbox 360 firmware file. 2) Download the HP USB Disk Storage Format tool from the below mentioned URL. http://www.zshare.net/download/458271232ede9e/ 3) Click on the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool shortcut. This will open the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool. 4) Select the USB from the device dropdown list. Make sure to select FAT 32 as the file system type. 5) You can format the drive using the Quick format option if the drive is having a different file system other than FAT 32. 6) Once the drive is formatted Click on the "Using DOS system files located at: 7) Select the "…". Locate the folder "Xbox benq flashing files for USB" folder from your desktop. Select the folder Windows 98 boot file". Click OK. 8) Select "Yes" from the Pop up message box. 9)Upon completion close the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool. Go to start menu > my computer and open the flash drive. 10) Go back to the "Xbox benq flashing files for USB". Open the "DosFlash16 "folder. Copy both the files located in this folder. "DosFlash" and "DosFlash.typ" files to the flash drive. 11) Copy the "ix161" BIN file to the root flash drive.
