Hello everyone. The red ring of death of Xbox 360 has been a huge problem since the beginning of Xbox 360. Many gamers like me have faced this problem and the red ring of death (RROD) is one of the biggest reason behind all the rant on Xbox 360 gaming console.
Now, I cannot help you if you already have got the RROD on your Xbox360, but I can help you prevent it. I will tell you how you can prevent doing some mistakes many of the gamers do, and save your Xbox 360 for a long lasting gaming experience.
6 Hours the Limit!
A lot of users keep their console running for several hours a day. Some leave it on for downloading purposes and others simply keep playing for hours. If you want your Xbox 360 to last a long time, you should try and give your console a fair amount of rest after every 2 or 3 hours of game play, but if you can't do that because your gaming sessions are longer, then try to limit your sessions to 6 hours each, do not keep your console running for more than 6 hours every session! And once you turn off your Xbox 360 after 6 hours or less, do not turn it off after just a few minutes, give it a rest of at least 1 hour before turning it on again, trust me, the 1 hour rest is worth it.
Don't Plug and Play!
Well, not really "plug and play" but do not play games straight from a disk if you have enough hard drive storage to install it. A lot of people just buy the game, insert the disk and start playing right away. If the game can be installed and played without a CD, then just install the game and put the CD somewhere safe. Why do all this? well, its pretty logical, the CD creates heat in your console and that is not good for it! Consoles might look tough (they don't!) but they are vulnerable to heat, do not risk your whole console for a few minutes of installation time.
Don't Block the Console!
A lot of people just casually put their Xbox 360 in their living room or anywhere they please. What they do wrong is, they don't care about the wind circulation around the console, for example, I know a friend who placed his Xbox 360 inside a drawer which had no holes at all, the console got over-heated and died a couple of days after. So don't put your console in a place with no wind circulation, and don't block it's any side with anything, you must make sure that wind is hitting your Xbox 360 from every direction.
That's It for Now!
Yes, that's all I've got for you now, but stay tuned, next time I will come back with some more good tips. Till then, good bye.

I'm internally screaming. He doesn't deserve technology. You shouldn't do this with ANYTHING. Computer, DVD player, ANYTHING. D:
